FAQ’s
How does ship thru work?
When ordering a vehicle add Farmbro’s ship thru code to the factory order. This will divert the vehicle to Farmbro straight from the vehicle assembly plant where we can add your upfit before it arrives at the dealership. Upon completion of the upfit on your vehicle the vehicle goes back into the vehicle manufacturers shipping system and the freight cost to deliver the vehicle to destination is a fraction of what it would cost to transport the vehicle to any dealer in Canada.
How much does ship thru cost?
Each vehicle manufacturer (Ford, GM and Ram) has a different rate for ship thru. The cost gets added to the vehicle invoice. Check with the vehicle manufacturer or dealer for the costs associated with ship thru.
Why do major national fleets or larger regional fleets use ship thru?
Having a centralized upfitter is much easier to manage, upfit requirements are proactively planned at the time of vehicle order, one price is established, and you only deal with one company for a number of items such as truck/van equipment, decals, gps, tires, rustproofing, etc.
What is different between ship thru in Canada vs. the US?
Farmbro has access to multiple vehicle manufacturers and multiple vehicle models in one central location. In the US you need to be next to plant to make ship thru viable where in Canada Farmbro is uniquely positioned to capture vehicles coming into the country from the US and Mexico.
